Your directive is simple; just make it all work. Like the electricity or water in your home. First time, every time. We are a SaaS company so we live and die on the quality of our IT. We have excellent backend and frontend developers, architects and QA personnel. Now we need an excellent full-time IT Systems Administrator to help us move to the next level.
You are needed immediately and will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the corporate infrastructure of a top medical and dental claims clearinghouse.
Key
Responsibilities:
Maintain and setup servers and workstations
Resolve software and hardware issues including internal software/PBX/Phone/Fax/Printer problems
Oversee network and system infrastructure under the guidance of the IT manager
Help develop and implement policies and best practices ensuring data security, integrity and performance
Keep all IT equipment up to date in the IT asset management system
Monitor network, servers and systems in order to ensure 24x7 up-time.
Assist executive team with capacity planning efforts
Rollout software and hardware updates
Assist with facility and utility management
The Requirements
Education: Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, IT or equivalent
Excellent customer service skills
Self-motivated and willing to work independently with high attention to detail
Pro-actively make recommendations for improvements to infrastructure
Provide high-quality end-user workstation support to our 50 employees
Highly proficient in Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2008R2, 2012 and Active Directory administration
Possess a willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to dynamic environments
Perform updates afterhours (occasional weekend duties)
Working knowledge and proficiency with following:
Virtualization a plus: VMWare Workstation/ESXi and Windows Hyper-V
OS: MS Windows XP & 7, Linux
Database: SQL Server 2008
Programming is a plus: SQL, VB6, PHP
Networking: wiring, managed switches, firewalls & routers, TCP/IP
Phone systems: Asterisk

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
