In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating various events, overseeing recreational programs, and assisting with administrative tasks.

Principal Duties Recreational
Responsibilities:
Oversee 2-4 divisions of seasonal youth sport programs, including painting lines, organizing teams, finding coaches, initiating coach background checks, creating gameplay rules, uploading league information to the recreation website, counting inventory, creating game schedules, conducting pre-season and post-season surveys, supervising game days, and overseeing coach refunds for assigned divisions.
Assist the Recreation Department during race days.
Events
Responsibilities:
Serve as the initial point of contact for small community service projects and special event applications.
Support the retention of City sponsors and event vendors, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
Support the development of City sponsorship packages.
Assist the Events Staff during City event days.
Create post-event summaries, collect attendance data, and prepare reports for sponsors.
Provide assistance at commission meetings, potentially including minutes/recording.
Additional
Responsibilities:
Act as the main contact for pavilion reservations.
Implement and maintain a Parks & Recreation calendar, recording upcoming events and recreational programs.
Collaborate with the Vineyard City Grant Writer to identify grants for the Parks & Recreation Department.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Events & Recreation Staff, which may include assisting with Jr Jazz Basketball, Toddler Sports, and a Summer Program.
What Makes You Competitive Bachelor's degree in Recreation or a related field preferred.
Ability to have flexible work hours.
Ability to work evenings and weekends.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office.
Experience in event coordination and recreational program management is desirable.
