Duties of the position include:
answering phones, scheduling client appointments, mailing and faxing letters to the IRS, assisting in daily office needs, ordering supplies for the entire office, and hiring for needed positions.
The ideal candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to organize their work using tools such as Google Suite, client interaction software, and various office equipment.
We are looking for someone with a problem solving mindset that is willing to work together to find solutions.

Responsibilities:
? Be able to represent Hoffman and Company professionally and with prompt customer service ? Provide administrative support to the tax preparers ? Look for areas of opportunity and improvement and be able to problem solve ? Be able to learn new processes and be adaptable ? Respond timely to all emails ? Remain organized and make sure things don't get missed or forgotten ? Handle highly confidential information with integrity and discretion ? Schedule appointments for clients ? Send tax returns to clients ? Respond proactively to problems that arise and be able to remain calm in high stress situations.
? Coordinate necessary maintenance repairs for the office ? Be able to work with strong personalities and remain calm under pressure.
? Take on clients that are frustrated or have issues ? Keep the client portal up to date and make the necessary notations on accounts ? Order supplies for the office and order food when necessary
Qualifications:
? Proven experience in business office and customer service settings ? Knowledge of office systems and procedures ? Working knowledge of office equipment ? Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite ? Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work when needed ? Attention to detail and problem solving skills ? Excellent written and verbal communication skills ? Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask when busy ? Highschool Diploma; additional training as an Administrative assistant or secretary will be a plus.
? Must be able to work some overtime hours during peak seasons (Feb-Apr and Sept-Oct)

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
