Summary:
Come and work with an established Internal Medicine physician.
We are looking for a motivated, flexible, and qualified nurse practitioner or physician assistant that will work directly with one of our physicians.
This position will be part time with the potential to be full time.
The goal for this position is to have a shared schedule between the NP/PA and the physician.
The right candidate will have the flexibility to allow for a rotating office schedule with the physician to allow for continuous patient care between the team.
Essential Job Functions:
Collaborates with the physician in managing acute and long-term medical needs of patients.
Orders, interprets, and evaluates appropriate diagnostic and laboratory tests to identify and assess patient's clinical problems and health care needs.
Formulates and implements treatment plan for illness management.
When appropriate discusses case with physicians and other health professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plan.
Willingness to make decisions; Exhibits sound and accurate judgment; Supports and explains reasoning for decisions.
Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; Looks for ways to improve and promote quality.
Responds well to patients' questions.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Successful completion of national certification as a nurse practitioner/physician assistant.
Must hold license/certification as required by the State of Utah 2 years' experience in Internal Medicine or Family Practice Hours:
The office is open Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.
This position will be 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off, rotating with the physician.
The physician takes off 2 months out of the year, so this individual needs to be willing to work the full 4 weeks during that time.
