A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A DAY PROGRAM DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL / CAREGIVERAs a Day Program Direct Support Professional / Caregiver, you support people with developmental disabilities to live their best lives as independently as possible.
Your support is needed in many areas of daily living including self-care, hygiene, motor skills, arts and crafts, vocational skills, work habits, and community inclusion.
Additionally, you assist with behavior management and recreational activities.
Using effective teaching and mentoring techniques, you provide support for our clients with their day-to-day schedules.
You are always careful to model appropriate social skills and behaviors.
Conscientiously, you keep accurate and up-to-date documentation as well as promptly report any concerns about health or safety.
