00 PM Employment Opportunity The Orem Public Works Department is currently hiring for a Public Works Operator in the Water Distribution group.
This is a full-time, benefited position working under direction of a Public Works Field Supervisor.
Operators are responsible for performing specialized duties related to water system installation, repair and maintenance.
This position also operates light and some heavy equipment, and a variety of hand tools related to the Water Section.
Qualifications High School graduation or equivalent.
Progressively responsible relevant experience.
Must possess and maintain the proper valid Driver License for the position.
Pay and Benefits The current salary for Public Works Operators starts at $21.
79 hourly ($43,317.
66 annually) and is part of a hybrid step/career ladder program with automatic advancements based on years of service and career advancements based on meeting certain requirements.
