The Data Science Intern will play a critical role in helping with early-stage generative AI applications in the credit risk space.
The role requires the candidate to have a strong coding back-ground, being familiar with advances in generative AI, and as a plus knowing the credit risk space a bit.
The candidate should have played with applications of ChatGPT and similar tools and have an idea what those tools allow for and for what type of problems they tend to work.
The core responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Implementing prototypes of various Data Science Components/Apps Writing Python/Spark SQL code to implement prototypes from scratch Working closely with the core engineering team to move forward model build of the analytics products Suggesting ML techniques Finding generative AI applications and implementing them Building enhanced user-friendly dashboards for various steps in the pipeline Assisting in connecting new data assets to our end-to-end modeling platform Building highly specialized predictive models and overall process flows Visualizing analytics with Tableau Applying Generative AI Knowledge to solve problems for clients and internal users Usage of Advanced machine learning techniques to solve ad-hoc client problems Using the ChatGPT API to integrate generative AI into our processes Bringing new ideas how to approach general problems in credit risk management Having fundamental experience in coding complex frameworks from scratch Writing data pipelines / ETL for non-standard or new modeling use cases Build new dashboards and reports to provide insights to clients on model performance and impact, leveraging our proprietary BI toolkit as well as Tableau Helping document methodologies, tool usage and business logic Testing new product features and algorithms and verify accurate implementation ahead of live releases to our global client base Implementing bug-fixes and upgrades to Experian methodologies in credit-related business logic Qualifications Currently pursuing a Masters degree in quantitative field, with a strong preference for computer science or Data Analytics is required Be returning to school in the Fall of 2024 to complete degree program Fluent in at least one traditional programming language Familiar with cutting edge generative AI tools Familiar with Python PySpark and SparkSQL and familiarity with modern data science and engineering technologies in general and common ML frameworks such as (MLlib, pytorch, sklearn, tensorflow all valuable) Experience with scrapping data and parsing unstructured data Expertise in applied statistics and machine learning - advanced degrees in quantitative fields and/or professional experience in applied analytics are valuable Experience in financial services and credit modelling would be a plus Having experience with Tableau is a plus Valuable leadership capabilities include Strong work ethic, needs to be a very driven individual and fine with tight timelines Shows strong passion and strong sense of urgency about reaching targets Out-of-box thinking Passionate about analytics, with a proven track record in applying analytics to address practical problems Clear, structured and organized communicator, and ability to write detailed specifications Proven track record coding data science applications relating to data, analytics and technology and in particular Curious and stays up to date with the latest data science and generative AI trends Collaborative mindset, able to work with a range of business units, roles and external partners Willingness to get into the weeds, solve technical issues hands-on, and work directly with product owners and developers as we drive early stage product growth Comfortable working with ambiguity, taking initiative and being self-driven Additional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.

The base pay range for this position is listed above.
Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors such as job-related skills, experience and education.
This position is also eligible for a variable pay opportunity and a comprehensive benefits package which includes health, life and disability insurance, generous paid time off including paid parental and family care leave, an employee stock purchase plan and a 401(k) plan with a company match.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
