Position
Summary:
The Permitting Coordinator's mission is to contribute to a team of highly effective problem solvers who frequently must investigate and adapt to new situations.
A Permitting Coordinator works directly with AHJs (Authority Having Jurisdiction) to obtain solar permits while coordinating with customers and field operations technicians.
They are detail-oriented and passionate about coordinating with others to see a permit application through to approval.
They pride themselves in setting their peers up for success by having great quality and efficiency.
Essential Duties:
Coordinate & communicate with customers to get permitting documents signed Fill out portal forms, permit applications, and/or other applications to submit to AHJs (states, cities, counties) Master each AHJ's geographic information system (GIS) Coordinate & schedule field operation technicians to submit to AHJs in-person Verify submissions and permit pick-up/drop-offs Follow-up consistently with AHJs on approvals Pay for permitting expenses and manage transactions Process approvals by scheduling documents to be picked-up Key Competencies:
Ability to effectively and efficiently manage time, priorities, and tasks, as well as deliver a personable and up-beat attitude to team members, customers, and AHJs Respond effectively and timely to inbound calls, emails, and text messages Submit building and electrical permit applications to jurisdictions Process building and electrical permit approvals by following up regularly with jurisdictions Receive and implement feedback, take a proactive approach to improving performance, identify opportunities for development, and engage in career-pathing conversations regularly Excellent project management skills Live by and possess the Blue Raven Solar company values to Develop a High-Trust Culture, Be Efficient, and Continuously Improve Blue Raven Solar:
