Job Summary and
Qualifications: OB Tech Part-Time Nights 6p-6a (2-12 hour shifts per week)
As the OB Tech in Women's Services you will deliver high quality, patient centered care in a variety of services related to common nursing functions. Our team is amazing and we consider ourselves a family, we are looking for someone who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. In this role:
You will assist the surgeon during C-sections and ensure the surgical suite is adequately prepared for C-sections.
You will consistently assist the patient care team with maintaining a clean, well-organized, and safe patient care environment making sure labor and delivery and or Mother/Baby rooms are adequately stocked and prepared.
You will clean, wrap, and sends all instruments to Central Sterile for sterilization.
You will obtain or assist the nursing staff as needed.
You will follow patient and employee safety/security policies and protocols, including hand hygiene, use of universal precautions, use of personal protective equipment, and adherence to isolation procedures.
You will participate in department process improvement activities.
What qualifications you will need:
American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
Certified Nursing Assistant license required.
Completion of Surgical Technologist course preferred.
Surgical Technologist Certificate preferred.
One year of CNA experience preferred.
One year operating room experience preferred.
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
