Essential Functions:
Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducts visual inspection and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
Approves in-process production by confirming specifications and process documentation; conducts visual inspection and measurement tests; communicates required adjustments to production supervisor.
Approves finished products by confirming product and customer specifications; conducts visual inspection and measurement tests.
Conducts finished product audits to ensure product and process conformity and to identify training opportunities.
Validates conformity of reworked product.
Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database.
Keeps measurement equipment operating; ensures current calibration.
Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
Other duties as assigned by manager.
Education/
Experience:
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent. One year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
