Entry Level Accountant

H & W Holding Company is a holding company for several construction related companies with its headquarters in Orem, Utah. H & W does business throughout the western United States and has done several international projects. Its history dates back to the 1950's but has seen significant growth in the last eight years.
We are currently looking for an Entry Level General Ledger Accountant who will work with the Assistant Controller on the preparation of financial statements, governmental reporting, tax returns, reconciliations, work-in-process reports, managerial reporting, and much more in a multi-company environment.
Minimum Requirements:
o Bachelor Degree in Accounting
o Proven understanding of accounting principals
o Knowledge of financial and accounting software application
o Self-motivated and able to work in a fast pace environment and to meet deadlines
o Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, and Word)
o Willing to pitch in and help others in the department when necessary
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills
o Maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance and punctuality
o Must be authorized to work in The United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company
o Must already reside in a commutable distance (30-40 minutes)
Other Helpful Skills:
o Proficient with Microsoft Access, Crystal Reports, or other databases and report writers
o French or Spanish as a second language
o Completion of an internship

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
