Job Description
The sales associate is responsible for the sale of new and used units. The initial impression that he/she creates is the impression that the customer will have of the entire dealership. The position requires an individual with excellent personal relation skills, product knowledge, and sales ability in following the dealership sales system. An outgoing, pleasant demeanor is a fundamental element for success as well. You are able to make this a fun position for yourself.
The successful associate will interact in the most professional and honest manner possible with both customers and his fellow employees. He/she will seek first to understand, then to be understood. He/she will be motivated by a desire to excel and not merely be seeking to get by. This position will require the individual to be very organized, as many of his day to day responsibilities are time sensitive. Procrastinators, poor time managers, and the unorganized will be unable to perform to acceptable standards for any length of time.
He/she must be friendly, honest and knowledgeable about the products he sells. He/she must learn and use the key sales fundamentals as well. In short, must participate in a Sales Culture in this department understanding that the most important thing that happens in the dealership is putting cash in the register while putting smiles on the faces of the customers. Every action, attitude, display, product, and service in the dealership is solely for this purpose.
He must foster this attitude in himself and those around him so that over time it is truly a natural atmosphere or culture in his department.
Following are some of the specific duties of the sales associate:
Acquire and maintain product knowledge of all vehicles sold at the dealership and have the ability to explain all features, functions, and benefits to customers.
Must acquire and maintain product knowledge of competition s features and functions and be able to explain why they come up short.
The associate will ensure proper and timely greeting of customers entering the dealership &/or outside display area.
Complete all paper work in a timely manner as defined by dealership policy.(Enter information in Lightspeed system).
Associates must accurately enter information in the daily CEM traffic log.
Must effectively follow up with be back customers from CEM.
Follow up phone calls & thank you cards must be filled out and mailed for each customer who purchases a unit.
Buyers orders are to be filled out for all desked deals and must be accounted for at the end of the day.
Associates are responsible for ensuring that the showroom is neat and all units are cleaned. This is an ongoing process, and units should be wiped down whenever there is a lull in activity.
Associates are to ensure that all vehicles on the showroom floor have tags installed on them.
It is the responsibility of the sales department, and associates specifically, to make sure that the customer lounge area is neat.
Associates must completely understand all steps of the sales process and ensure its use with prospects.
The associate is expected to maintain a professional appearance, adhering to the dealership dress code, and by being well groomed.
When an associate makes a sale, he is to arrange delivery with the service department and make delivery to the customer personally. As part of the delivery process he should introduce the customer to the service department personnel.
One day to a week after delivery, the associate will call the customer to follow up to find out how they are doing, answer any questions and ask if they have any friends that might be interested in making a purchase.

Additional Information
Motorcycle endorsement on drivers license preferred.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
