Accounting Manager
Job Description
Westland Construction is headquartered in Orem, Utah with a satellite office in St. George, Utah. Westland Construction does business throughout the Western United States and has done several international projects. Its history dates back to the 1950 s but has seen significant growth in the last seven to eight years.
We are currently looking for an organized professional, as an Accounting Manager, who will be responsible for sales tax reports, financial statements, financial backup schedules, credit card reports, preparing work-in-progress reports, and will be responsible for complete financial reporting for multiple small entities.
Desired Skills:
Commercial and/or Industrial Construction Experience
Knowledge of Percent Complete Method (Work-In-Progress)
Multi-state sales tax reporting
Supervisory Experience
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor s Degree
2-3 years previous related accounting experience
Working knowledge of all functions associated with payables, receivables, and general ledger
Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment and to meet deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
Willing to pitch in and help others in the department when necessary to meet critical deadlines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Other Helpful Skills:
Knowledge of ComputerEase accounting software
Microsoft Access, Crystal Reports, or other databases and report writers
Knowledge of online Browz system
