Entry Level Accountant
Job Description
H & W Holding Company is a holding company for several construction related companies with its headquarters in Orem, Utah. H & W does business throughout the western United States and has done several international projects. Its history dates back to the 1950 s but has seen significant growth in the last five to six years.
We are currently looking for an Entry Level General Ledger Accountant who will work with the Assistant Controller on the preparation of financial statements, governmental reporting, tax returns, reconciliations, work-in-process reports, managerial reporting, and much more in a multi-company environment.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor s Degree in Accounting
Proven understanding of accounting principals
Knowledge of financial and accounting software application
Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment and to meet deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, and Word)
Willing to pitch in and help others in the department when necessary
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance and punctuality
Must be authorized to work in The United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company
Must already reside in a commutable distance (30-40 minutes)
Other Helpful Skills:
Proficient with Microsoft Access, Crystal Reports, or other databases and report writers
French or Spanish as a second language
Completion of an internship
