Controller
A Utah based construction company is seeking an experienced Controller to join our accounting and finance team. This person will be responsible for Payroll, Payables, Receivables, preparation of accruals and prepaid accounts, prepare and enter GL Entries, and other primary accounting responsibilities.
Qualifications Skills and Knowledge:
Experience with multi-state and certified payroll, required.
Maintain financial reports, reconciles general ledgers.
Reconciles financial accounts monthly by collecting and analyzing account information.
Experience with multi-state sales tax reporting.
Excellent verbal and written skills.
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Ability to handle multiple projects with a high degree of accuracy.
Ability to interact effectively with internal departments.
Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
Requirements
Bachelor s Degree and a minimum 5 years of accounting experience.
Minimum of 3 years of payroll experience.
Experience with Microsoft Office products, MUST be specifically proficient in Excel.
Knowledge of basic GAAP accounting principles.
Preferred qualifications include:
Familiarity with accounting software
