Preschool Teacher Position Open in a Fun Environment!
Job Description
We are looking for TWO preschool teachers to join our fantastic team this summer and for the next school year! We are a growing school near the Orem/Lindon border. Our goal is to create a loving and happy environment for our students, ages 2-5, to come and learn and feel comfortable being themselves. At our school we strive to love and take care of our students, parents, and our staff as well! We love our staff and do what we can to support them as they do the most important job in the world: teaching and loving children!
Position One: Three year old teacher:
M-F 9:00 AM- 2:30 PM with a half hour lunch break off the clock. You would be teaching different students in the morning than in the afternoon, but the same age!
Each week you would also have 3 hours of paid prep time.
Pay starts at $12/hour with raises upon performance
Position Two: Three year old teacher +extended hour teacher
M-F 11:30-3:30 PM You would be helping with our lunch half hour transition, teaching and afternoon class, and teaching the extended hour class from 2:30-3:30.
Each week you would also have 1. 5 hours of paid prep time.
Pay starts at $12/hour with raises upon performance
Responsibilities
1. Your most important responsibility is to LOVE and NURTURE your students. This includes guiding them not only academically, but socially and emotionally as well.
2. You would be responsible for the growth and learning of your students. We have a curriculum and daily lesson plans that you can work from and tweak according to the needs of your students.
3. You would be responsibly for parent/teacher communication. Making sure to send pictures home, keep assessments updated, send lesson summaries and answer any parent concerns. As you seek to build a relationship of trust with each parent, you'll discover how rewarding this is!
4. You would be responsible to help out elsewhere as needed throughout the year, which means being a part of our Christmas and End of the Year program, helping with date nights, attending staff meetings and one on ones and other events.
5. You would be responsible for using your prep time to prepare lessons that are catered toward the needs of your children and to communicate with parents
Qualifications
1. Must love being with children and have a good, happy attitude about working with them
2. Either be working on or have completed a degree in education or CDA and/or 1-2 years at least of experience in child care/teaching setting.
3. Must be able to pass a background check and become CPR certified
4.Must be able to move energetically with children and manage a class of 7-8 children
