Responsibilities
The Office Manager is responsible for providing leadership, direction and administration of the dental practice to ensure operational and financial effectiveness. The office manager is responsible for daily operations, policy and procedures, implementation and management of staff. The office manager is responsible for managing all staff members, organizing and maintaining the front office area including overseeing patient scheduling, presenting treatment and effectively handling Accounts Receivable. This position will also collaborate with the bookkeeper and dentist to gather feedback in order to improve operational and financial practices while ensuring an outstanding patient experience. The Office Manager takes on a leadership role, actively participates in dental practice activities and initiatives, encourages dental practice team members and proactively seeks new ways to advance the dental practice.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
respond efficiently to patient and doctor needs and inquiries
ensure the delivery of quality dental care to patients
resolve patient issues in accordance with company policies and procedures, healthcare regulations and dental board standards
manage patient scheduling and direct patient traffic flow
oversee the processing of dental claims
coordinate with dental insurance companies to ensure claims are paid
manage specialist referral process
train, develop and performance manage staff to meet performance standards
determine staff schedules and ensure operational standards are met
manage employee relations and make certain staff have the necessary resources and support
monitor and maintain the office budget
organize and manage supply purchases, equipment upgrades and operations expenses
complete administrative functions including bank deposits and some payroll responsibilities
oversee collections and accounts receivable
write business correspondence and reports
run and analyze management reports
support marketing and promotion initiatives
maintain patient data according to regulations and company policies
ensure that records are stored securely and in compliance with privacy and security regulations
take responsibility for the appearance and functionality of the office
maintain facilities and equipment in accordance with hygiene and safety regulations
Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year dental office management experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Some college or secondary training is preferred but not required if you have a minimum of two
years experience
Outstanding relationship-building, interpersonal and leadership skills
Knowledge of dental procedures and dentistry terminology
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
Experience with Dentrix software a plus
This position is a full-time positionEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
