Job Description
A busy, family oriented optometry clinic is seeking a front desk office assistant. The front desk office assistant is responsible for performing a variety of administrative tasks. We are seeking a long term employee, who is a fast learner, has a great personality, wonderful people skills, and is willing to be a team player. This is a Full-Time position Monday-Friday. This includes working opening hours as early as 7:
30am, or closing hours as late as 6:
30pm; schedule is balanced with other employees. We are looking to hire as soon as we find the best candidate. Starting wage is based on experience, but on-the-job training will of course take place, and satisfactory work ethic will bring quarterly pay increases. Medical benefits are included for full-time employees.
Responsibilities
Phone reception
Scheduling/confirming appointments
Verifying insurance benefits
Referrals to other healthcare providers
Various administrative projects as needed/assigned
Optical duties which include eyewear selection, frame adjustments and repairs
Assist other team members as time allows
Qualifications
1-2 years (or more) of optical or optician experience will earn higher starting wage
High level of skill with computer technology
Strong written and oral communication skills; Excellent phone etiquette
Strong organizational skills, ELITE attention to detail
Teachable
High School Diploma or equivalent requiredEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
